Rev. 4:6 Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal…
Rev. 15:2-3 And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. 3 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints!
A pure river of the water of life proceeds from the throne of God in heaven into a sea of glass like crystal around the throne (Rev. 4:2, 6; 22:1-2). Moses and 73 others worshiped and ate a covenant meal with God on this “sapphire pavement” and saw His feet (Exodus 24:9-18). Ezekiel also saw this “crystal firmament” and a sapphire throne (Eze. 1:22, 26-28). John saw the saints stand before God on this Sea of Glass mingled with fire (Rev. 4:2, 6; 15:2-3) and they declare: “Great and marvelous!” They are filled with marvel, awe and wonder at the works and ways of God. We will one day stand on this sea of glass, the gathering place of heaven, around the throne of God. There is a relationship between the people on the sapphire Sea and the King seated on the sapphire Throne. We will be filled with marvel, awe and wonder at the works and ways of God. The Stewardship Campaign is an invitation to gaze upon the God who dwells in this “beauty realm” in heaven and to open our hearts to partner with His plan and purposes for our lives, our, homes, and the place where we worship – the earthly sanctuary where we gather to encounter our great and marvelous God.
